Small background:

He was a a well known prodigy pianist in the gingerbread kingdom,17 at the time. One day through one of the symphonies he was playing in, his eyes fell upon the beautiful girl who played the violin  he was to be accompaning for her solo. She being a prodigy herself at the age of 16, entranced him with her beautiful melody, he approached her afterwards and fell in love. They married a year after despite their young age and had beautiful baby girl whom they spent 9 happy years with, but then they concieved again and were to have a baby boy, but when the baby was born their were complications and neither the baby nor his wife made it. He mourns to this day and hasnt been able to play piano since, his daughter being the most important thing in his life now since shes the only thing he has left. However his daughter does want him to be happy again and encourages him to get on the saddle again, whether it be in dating or on his piano, she just wants him to be happy, because even though he smiles an makes her laugh and pretends to be strong, she knows he's hurting just as much as she did if not more.
